A papyrus with ancient math, named after Moscow

For some time now I have been trying to understand the Moscow Mathematical Papyrus. And for me, understanding = writing and sharing. Therefore the results of my thoughts are now available on this page.

What is this particular papyrus? Well, some of its importance hinges on “did they know how do that already?” This goes for problems 10 and 14 especially. They knew how to calculate the area of a sphere? And the volume of a pyramid? Well, apparently, yes. They could also work with unknowns and take square roots. Exciting!

At some point the papyrus ended up in Moscow, and a lot of research was done on it at that time.

Without further ado, welcome to my treatment of the Moscow Mathematical Papyrus.
